Time for an update

Saturday, despite the rainy and chilly weather we went to continue our Tourist In Your Own Town and headed off to Cypress Gardens. Tradd loves this place because of all the reptiles. It was the first "nice" day that we could get out without a ton of sweaters and jackets to do something. We really lucked out because they were having a Fossil show. All kinds of shark's teeth, bones, skeletons...it was really cool and the boys got to dig in a big tub for their own fossils. Flat Stanley from PA was along for our visit to Cypress Gardens.

Here are some pictures from our outing;

If you follow me on facebook or twitter you may have seen that this morning we woke up to 9ft candy canes in our front yard - here is a picture of that. Don't worry I know who did it and plans have already been made to get even. Scary part was our dog didn't even bark.

We also had another first in our house tonight, Tradd lost his first tooth. Got a little nervous when he saw the blood, but he got over it quickly and was excited about having a hole in his mouth.

Well, that's all I have from this end. God bless and good night!

Catching Up!

Since it has been awhile since I posted I'll have to start back about a week and catch everyone up!

First of all we'll start with last Friday we went to Chick-fil-a to hang out with our good friend Cindy Ward. We always love hanging out with Cindy and a little Chick-fil-a never hurt anyone and of course the kids love playing on the playground. Here are some pics from the visit.

Saturday we continued our Tourist In Your Own Town with Birds of Prey! It was beautiful day and we got to see some really cool birds. Our friends the McGinnis' happen to be there too so the boys enjoyed hanging with Michael and Caleb.

Our very own "bird" of Prey

Tradd's favorite part of Birds of Prey were the daddy long legs that he caught.

Monday Meghan and the kids went out to visit Fort Sumter - Coleman did NOT like the boat ride. The boys seem to really enjoy the fort - I heard all about the cannons.
Monday evening Nanny and Poppy came to town. I took some time off work so we could all go to Edisto and enjoy more space at the beach house. The boys love the beach house and especially the beach.

Talking to Aunt Karen on the Phone.

Our view from the porch.
Treasures from the Ocean...

Our Treasures!

And last but not least - today, January 17th is Meghan's Birthday! Not sure how we are celebrating today - it's very cold down here but we might venture out to do some shopping.

Tourist In Your Own Town - Middleton

Today we went to Middleton Plantation and happened to meet up with some friends;
Marti, Julie, Mary Chris and her son Nick.

We all had a great time walking around, (or running if you were one of the boys) chatting and taking in God's beautiful creation. We met a real cooper (a barrel maker) and he explained the art of barrel making to us. I believe the adults were into it more than the kids. Here are some pictures of our day, enjoy!

Saw some monkeys in the trees, oh wait those are the boys.

As Julie said as we walked past the live oaks that are hundreds of years old "If only these trees could talk."

Here are some of the animals we saw...

Cooper playing with rotting sugar cane

Tradd always finds a stick, no matter where we go.

Monkey see monkey do - of course Cooper has to have a stick too.

Here's what Drayton thought of the whole thing...
